I want a snake that wont eat live mice or bugs, and that wont get to big, and is a good first snake pet. O ya, and i dont want it to bite me.

My family wants to get a pet snake. I would get one, except I dont think I could feed it a live mouse, or anything live. Can you get cubes of meat or could it survive on anything else? Like can you buy snake food in cubes or in cans?
