Pet Lovers: Would you date a person who hates pets or is severely allergic?
I am a huge pet lover, my life would be incomplete without my dogs and other pets, yes i probably would consider myself one of those crazy pet people, but not to crazy. Well i was curious if you were dating someone who was severely allergic to pets or absolutely disliked pets would you continue to date them?
Personally i would ask them straight out if they were allergic or if they disliked pets and then i wouldn’t get to serious with them, because personally i could not live my whole life without a dog.
I am asking this question because i was in that situation before. I have two dogs and i have had them since i was 18 and i raised them since they were puppies. When i moved out for college on my own when i was own i took them with me and i had them ever since, now i am 25 and still in college with medical school.
Well i met this guy and we dated for 6 months, well he was allergic to animals and he disliked dogs and he refused to do something for me and go on medication that he would have to take once a week. well he told me that if i don’t get ‘rid’ of my dogs he will stop seeing me. I really liked him but i guess it would of never worked out because i like pets and he doesn’t. I would never just give away my dogs i had so long for someone i knew for such a short time, personally i don’t think i would ever give away my pets, when you get a puppy and raise them it is basically an at least 10 year commitment to that dog depending on how long they live. I had my dogs for almost 10 years and when you have a dog that long you have that special bond that you can’t quite have with a human.
I don’t no anyone ever been in this situation before?
