Pet cat in city – is it fair to keep one, especially a rare breed?

If you lead a very busy life in the city is it fair to keep a pet? Is a cat expensive to keep and difficult to care for? I would want any pet to be happy and healthy.
Also has anyone heard of the breed Burmilla? White with grey markings and blue eyes?

it’s fair, as long as you keep it happy like make it so there is light it doesn’t need to light up the enter house or apartment but don’t leave it in darkness all day and night. Give it some thing to play with and scratch so it doesn’t ruin your furniture, and give it attention when you are there and it will be fine. Make sure you can afford to feed it!!
Depends how busy your are, you feed in the mornings before you go to work. As long as you have the evenings, at least some evenings to spend with your cat and the weekends then you can do it.
Try to get another cat/kitten at the same time, so they have a companion while you are gone. I do not know the breed you are referring to, probably from the Burmese with its all grey colouring.
Some start up costs: $200.00 to $300.00 for litter box, litter, bed, toy or two, scratching post, food.
Vet Bills: Initial shots: boosters: Depending where you are $80.00 to $100.00 for the first and second set of shots.
Neutering: $100.00 or so, more if you get a female cause its an Internal operation.
My suggestion would be to go to a shelter and get two kittens that need homes, preferably ones that were born inside and handled early by people. That way they should be really good pets.
I have a Himalayan and two domestic short hairs, the pure bred cat has all sorts of health issues, the two short hairs do not, they are both ideal cats and happy and healthy.
