Pet insurance is definitely getting bigger in the media these days. I enrolled my dog Schnook with pet insurance earlier this yeah and im super grateful i did because he had an accident this summer and required surgery. It’s definitely good if you have puppies or older dogs, because they can get into accidents or might be sick easier.
Trupanion pet insurance covers all diagnostic tests, surgeries/procedures, and medications 90% and also emergency vet visits and specialists. I have found that some are more restrictive on how much they pay if you go to specialists.
Their premiums don’t increase with pets age, and they cover hereditary and congenital disorders. Definitely worth looking into their company ….and if you want an unbiased review…check out http://www.petinsurancereview.com
